We love getting samples in the mail, here's a project I worked on over the summer in collaboration with NuLoom Rugs. Wes is very excited to break this in with some long afternoon sunbeam naps.

Paint Time

I took a little break from the computer and decided to work on a painting Matt had started awhile back.  It felt good to get messy again.

Hello Paris!

We took a little trip to Paris that turned out to be pretty magical.  Tasty food, fun times with the family and a nice break from work.  We're back in Philly now and fully recharged and ready to take on the studio again.  I'm a little behind on e-mails but promise to get back to you all very soon.

Weeds

Here's a recent cover I worked on with Allison Saltzman from Ecco/Harper Collins.

When I received the initial call for this project I happened to be standing in my parents garden which happened to have a fair amount of weeds (sorry Dad, I know its not your fault...just a weedy season!) anways, I was immediately inspired and was happy to have such a magnificent array of reference material at my fingertips.  Thanks to Allison for being such a great art director, and to my Dad for having a fantastically weedy section of his garden.

Daily Drop Cap

Awhile back the fantastically talented Jessica Hische invited us to be part of her Special Guest Alphabet for Daily Drop Cap.  She gave us the letter J (for Juniper) and we went to work. Here is the end result.  Thanks to Jess for inviting us to be part of her very cool project. Click here to see more.

Personal Work...

largebouquet

Personal work has taken the back burner since Lady Juniper has come into our life. We've been focusing mostly on commissioned work for the past two years (diapers are expensive!) but managed to eek this piece out in between everything else.

Matt has more image details on his Drawger blog: http://www.drawger.com/matt/?article_id=11416

SmartWool Limited Edition

Over the past year I've been collaborating with SmartWool to create a line of limited edition of socks for the Spring '10 season. The experience was great and I can't say enough nice things about the people at Smartwool. Thank you to Mercedes Marchand for making this happen.

It's always fun to get samples in the mail, Juniper thought it was pretty cool too. Here she is taking inventory...

...and making sure they fit (i think she still has some growing to do).

The socks are part of SmartWool's Gallery collection. If interested, you can find them here at: www.smartwool.com
