Society of Illustrators 54

I had two pieces selected for The Society of Illustrators Annual, very happy and honored! Here is one of them.

My Desk

I have to admit I'm not super great at washing my paintbrushes....or putting the caps back on the paint bottles.  This little habit started back in my college days and now I'm so used to my paints being slightly dried out it's the way I like my paint best.  A day or two with the cap off and the paint is at its prime.

Oldie but Goodie

Last year we worked on a fun collaboration painting commission for James which is an amazing restaurant in the Bella Vista neighborhood of Philadelphia. We've been meaning to put these pic's up on our website for awhile now but haven't yet gotten around to it, so I figured this might be a good place to start.

Matt and Wes stretching the canvas.

Here we have Matt painting away...just in case you're wondering, he does the more realistic glazed sections and I do the others. And yeah, I know, my studio is messy.

Hanging the painting.

...and last but not least, we reward ourselves with a tasty meal from the restaurant. So good.
